Family Law

Shelley joined our firm in April 2006 as a paralegal specializing in the area of family law. Having worked in this area of law for more than 22 years, she brings a wealth of experience with her.  Shelley assists with the creation and completion of various legal and court documents, and assists with various aspects of the family law process, including such things as preparation of various pleadings and responses, proposed and final agreements, discovery, and all pretrial and trial documents. In addition, Shelley assists individual clients with the creation of budgets and affidavits, and provides our clients, and the firm, with exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.

Shelley graduated from Alexandria Technical College with an Associates Degree in Legal Secretary & Office Management. While working as a legal secretary in the family law and personal injury/worker’s compensation fields, she obtained another Associates Degree from Inver Hills Community College in the Legal Assistant Program. Shelley has been a member of the Minnesota Paralegal Association, where she served on the annual meeting planning committee. Outside of the office, Shelley enjoys reading, boating, gardening, scrapbooking and spending time with family and friends.
